Of Instruments and Instrument Stands

Kind of a light week at work this week, since we're not fermenting corn. It's nice. I'm getting to do some sysadmin stuff again, which is basically what my original job was.

I'm trying to reacquire my saxophone abilities. I bought a stand (this one) for the sax today, under the (reasonable) assumption that being able to pick it up and play it for a few minutes will be a lot more attractive than having to connect all the pieces to play it for a few minutes. My embouchure is absolutely shot, of course, but I think my fingers might be more nimble than during high school. Must be all the Guitar Hero and Rock Band.

That reminds me, I found a great site for free sheet music for a bunch of different instruments. You're supposed to have to subscribe for the print-quality stuff, but if you right click the GIF image and "View Image," you can print off one page at a time.
