Shannelleran, Day 4
New installment is up at IVIC.
I missed yesterday, but I wrote for an hour today. I blame WoW.
I've got some retconning to do when I compile this thing. Mostly because I keep spelling Shannelleran as Shenneleran when I'm typing, or some variation of that, so I'll probably make it a more natural spelling (also, Kilrick to Kilrik, probably).
Ah, the creative process.

Shannelleran, Day 2
Today's is up on IVIC!
A little bit shorter than 30 minutes (well... more like 45) ought to yield, but had a touch of conflict with an early sentence and the long fatigue of a ceremonial day (my brother was graduated today).

Shannelleran, Day 1
Let's see how much discipline I have.
So, here's the plan: I have a story I've been wanting to write. I'm going to try to do 30 minutes or more of writing a day for a while. We'll see how long it lasts. When I'm done with a chapter, I'll post the chapter. Or maybe when I finish the short story, depending on how this goes. I'll post the day's work on IVIC and a notification on CoK. The chapters or whatever they end up being will be on both.
The first day's work is on IVIC! Time for exposition!

Of Instruments and Instrument Stands
Kind of a light week at work this week, since we're not fermenting corn. It's nice. I'm getting to do some sysadmin stuff again, which is basically what my original job was.
I'm trying to reacquire my saxophone abilities. I bought a stand (this one) for the sax today, under the (reasonable) assumption that being able to pick it up and play it for a few minutes will be a lot more attractive than having to connect all the pieces to play it for a few minutes. My embouchure is absolutely shot, of course, but I think my fingers might be more nimble than during high school. Must be all the Guitar Hero and Rock Band.
That's my old devil's horn in it's new throne to the right.
That reminds me, I found a great site for free sheet music for a bunch of different instruments. You're supposed to have to subscribe for the print-quality stuff, but if you right click the GIF image and "View Image," you can print off one page at a time.
