I read an article someplace (here's a <A HREF="http://shikow.blogspot.com/2008/11/10000-hours-magic-number-to-be-expert.html" REL="nofollow">reference</A>) about how it takes 10,000 hours of practice to achieve mastery of something.<br /><br />It seems to hold up at least in reference to webcomics.
